Valuation
Services
The Financial Consulting Group (FCG), is
a consortium of independent valuation firms that have affiliated in
order to provide clients with the highest level of professional
expertise available. Our inter-firm relationships are similar to that of
the international "Big Four" accounting firms in that each
firm operates under its unique legal name and identification while
recognizing its membership in The Financial Consulting Group. This
strategic alliance allows each firm to provide its clients with
financial databases, technical expertise, industry expertise, geographic
expertise and consulting expertise that would not be available from the
typical independent consulting firm. FCG currently has over 300
professional business valuers/litigation specialists working throughout
the United States.
The members of The Financial Consulting
Group are not simply marketing affiliates that have no formal obligation
to maintain uniform professional standards. The members are
contractually obligated to maintain appropriate professional
designations and the quality control standards established by the Group.
The Financial Consulting Group members directly benefit from the group's
resources, accomplishments and supporting activities. Each member firm
is selected to participate in The Financial Consulting Group based upon
an extensive list of criteria including the following:
An understanding and desire to follow
professional valuation standards and codes of ethics.
A commitment to follow quality control
standards as established by The Financial Consulting Group.
A commitment to participate in a work
product review program where the work product of each member firm is
reviewed by a Financial Consulting Group quality control committee of
peers. A review program designed to insure that each firm is adhering to
the quality control standards as established by The Financial Consulting
Group.
A commitment to obtain and maintain an
internationally recognized professional accreditation. For example, in
valuation theory and practice, The Financial Consulting Group has
selected the Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designation granted by
the American Society of Appraisers International or the Accredited in
Business Valuation (ABV) designation granted by the AICPA.
These criteria are in addition to the
individual's professional education, experience and reputation. Our
professionals have demonstrated their commitment to continually improve
the quality of their firm's professional services.
