Danielle Kimmell Named Partner at Bober Markey Fedorovich

AKRON, Ohio (October 22, 2009) – Bober Markey Fedorovich (BMF), a regional audit and accounting firm headquartered in Akron, Ohio, announces the promotion of Danielle J. Kimmell, CPA to partner. With this announcement, Kimmell becomes the firm's eighth partner. With more than 10 years of public accounting experience, Kimmell focuses on serving large, middle-market, privately held companies in a variety of industries including manufacturing and distribution. A native of Amherst, Ohio, she also has significant experience in the area of employee benefit plans, as well as consulting on issues arising in middle-market business settings, including audit, compliance and tax issues.

“Danielle has established her credentials as a leader within our firm, our community and our industry,” said Richard C. Fedorovich, managing partner/CEO for BMF.  “Our clients rely on her for deep insight in tax and financial matters. She brings the same level of passion, commitment and drive to every challenge before her, whether it’s serving an immediate client need or assisting one of the many community nonprofit organizations she serves in a volunteer capacity.”

Fedorovich noted the importance of recognizing new leaders within the firm as part of its strategy for continued growth, as well as the significance of adding the firm’s second female partner in an industry historically dominated by men.  He pointed to an October 2008 study by the American Institute of CPAs documenting that women make up just 19 percent of partners in public accounting.

Kimmell has established herself on the BMF staff and in the community as a leader in a variety of ways:

  • Key staff leader in the firm’s Accounting, Audit and Assurance Department
  • Staff leader for internal firm initiatives such as the Technology Committee (including the firm’s paperless initiatives) and the Employee Benefit Plans Niche group
  • Graduate of the 2009 Leadership Akron Class XXV
  • 2009 United Way of Summit County’s Young Philanthropist of the Year
  • Named as one of Summit County’s “30 for the Future” in 2007 by the Greater Akron Chamber
  • Key volunteer for community groups as varied as Project GRAD Akron, West Hill Neighborhood Organization, and Torchbearers, among others.

"As a firm, Bober Markey Fedorovich has been an outstanding United Way and community supporter, and Danielle lives up to that legacy,” noted United Way of Summit County President Bob Kulinski. “While Danielle’s wide record of volunteerism is certainly noteworthy, she does not make her living in community service. I’m certainly gratified to see her extraordinary talents in her professional career receive the same recognition and rewards that she has achieved in her volunteer career.”

Founded in 1959, Bober Markey Fedorovich is one of the largest independent CPA and business advisory firms in northeast Ohio with national and international reach, primarily serving greater Akron, Cleveland and surrounding regions. Its clients span a variety of industries, many with multi-state and global operations.
