Senior Consultant Andrew Zinger Earns Prestigious Business Valuation Designation
Akron, OH (March 3, 2009) – The regional accounting firm of Bober Markey Fedorovich (BMF) announced that Andrew Zinger, CPA, has earned the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) credential, a CPA specialty created by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA). Zinger is a senior consultant in the firm’s M&A Transaction Advisory Services and Valuation Services Group. BMF currently employs three professionals with ABV designation, including Zinger.
The ABV credential is given to CPAs who have demonstrated the skill, education and experience necessary to satisfy stringent requirements and that are critical to practicing business valuation successfully.
The ABV exam is given in two four-hour sessions on the same day. It was developed to test a candidate’s understanding of the business valuation body of knowledge generally accepted by the business valuation community.
The BMF Valuation Services Group is made up of experienced CPAs who have earned specific business valuation credentials including ABV and Certified Valuation Analyst(s) (CVA). The team has experience in valuations related to a wide variety of situations, including shareholder and partnership disputes, breach of contract, fraud prevention, damage claims, property and earnings losses and bankruptcy.
Zinger provides financial due diligence and other consultation services to buyers and investors from private equity groups, public company businesses, development groups and subordinated debt lenders. He also conducts business valuations for estate and gift tax filings, bankruptcy, family law cases and general business planning purposes.
A resident of Cleveland, Zinger joined BMF in 2008 after several years with a national accounting firm. He is a graduate of Miami University of Ohio with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance.
