File Exchange Portal:
Secure File Exchange & Data Sharing
Solution
|
 |
On June 1, 2007, Bober, Markey, Fedorovich &
Co. implemented a new, secure online exchange portal that will
allow the firm, clients, and other advisors to safely send and receive
files of any size, as well as set up temporary file rooms for large
projects that require collaboration.
There are several benefits to using the File Exchange Portal:
- Easy to use
- Nothing to install
- Large file support (unlimited size)
- Automatic email alerts with each file transfer
- Centralized tracking
- Automatic file expiration
- Full compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act,
HIPAA, FRCP, SEC, NASD, and NYSE.
- SSL encrypted upload and download
- Encrypted transfer storage
- SAS 70 Type II-certified data center
How it works:
When the firm shares data with you via the file exchange portal, you will
receive an email notifying you that information is awaiting download (see
below).

Simply click the link in the email to be directed to the secure download
location. You will be prompted to input your email address in order to access
the files awaiting download.
In turn, you can securely upload data at any time by going to the following
URL http://bobermarkey.leapfile.com
and following the screen prompts. You can also access the secure site for
uploads by following the link on the firm's web site (see below).

Last, when a significant project is under way, a temporary file portal will
be established. This file portal will allow the firm, you, and outside advisors,
as applicable, to collaborate and share various files during the project. File
portal users will have established guest user accounts. Each one will have a log
in (your email address) and password (which we will coordinate with you). You
will receive specific instructions from the firm when a guest user account has
been established for you.
If you have any questions about the new secure file exchange portal feature
or would like to request additional training materials, feel free to contact
your engagement team or the firm's technology systems department:
