Cindy S. Johnson, CPA, CITPartner – Assurance & Advisory Services
Cindy Johnson focuses on serving privately held, middle-market and high-growth clients in a variety of industries, including wholesale distribution and service with a specialty in manufacturing and construction. She has extensive experience in working with closely held and family-held businesses, tax planning, internal control and operations reviews, and preservation of family wealth and family transition planning.

Cindy also has administrative responsibility for the Firm’s Small Business Services Group, which provides review and analysis of interim and annual financial information, tax planning and business advisory services.

A magna cum laude graduate of Kent State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting, Cindy joined Bober Markey Fedorovich in 1987. Prior to that, Cindy was the assistant controller for a general contractor for five years.

Current community and professional service activities include: member, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA); member, AICPA 2008-2009 Professional & Personal Liability Insurance Committee; member, the AICPA Information Technology Section; member, the Akron Tax & Estate Planning Council; member, the PKF North American Manufacturing and Distribution Committee; chair, PKF Women Into Leadership Task Force; chair of the Audit Committee, American Red Cross of Summit and Portage Counties; vice-president, Board of Trustees, Inter-Lake Yachting Association.

Past community and professional service activities include: chair, Board of Trustees of Summit County Children’s Services; president, the Akron/Canton Chapter of the OSCPA; member, the PKF North American Technology Committee; treasurer, Project: LEARN of Summit County; member, Summit County Social Service Advisory Board and a 2000 graduate of Leadership Akron.
