About Our Staff
In order to support the continued growth of our practice, the partners of Bober Markey Fedorovich are pleased to announce the following additions to our professional staff:
- Samantha Buemi joined as a staff accountant in the Tax department. Samantha has a year of prior experience working for a national CPA firm in Cleveland, and is a graduate of Ohio University.
- Travis Bowe joined as a staff accountant in the Assurance & Advisory department. Travis has two years of prior experience working for a national CPA firm in Cleveland, and is a graduate of The University of Akron.
- Kris Brown joined as a staff accountant in the Assurance & Advisory department. Kris had prior experience as a 2009 intern with Bober Markey Fedorovich, and is a recent graduate of Kent State University.
Bober Markey Fedorovich is also pleased to announce the following promotions of our associates to new positions within the firm:
- Danielle Kimmell – to partner
- Cindy Mitchell – to senior manager, Taxation Services
Danielle Kimmell has been elected board chair of Project GRAD Akron.
On November 4, Andrew Zinger, Christine Chase, Arlene Markey, Mike Hydell and Jeanine Black participated in the United Way of Summit County's Read to Me Day in the Akron Public Schools.
The Hustle Award was presented on November 5 to Jim Merklin by the Summit County Chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness for his efforts in fundraising for the NAMIWalks for the Mind of America.
On December 7, Bober Markey Fedorovich presented the following sessions to the Northeast Ohio Institute of Internal Auditors:
- Danielle Kimmell, GAAP Update for Internal Auditors
- Mike Moldvay, Control Testing for Employee Benefit Plans – Who’s Reaping the Benefits?
- Cindy Mitchell, Out With the Old, In With the New – Personal Tax Planning Update
PKF North America has made the following appointments:
- Rick Fedorovich to chair, Strategic Planning Committee
- Mark Bober to chair, Corporate Finance Committee and vice chair, Business Valuation and Litigation Support Committee
- Jim Merklin to chair, Employee Benefit Plans Committee
- Jim Bowen to member, Public Companies Task Force
- Cindy Johnson to chair, Women into Leadership Task Force and vice-chair, Manufacturing/Distribution Committee
- Dale Ruther to member, Construction Committee
On December 7, Jim Merklin presented A Questioning Mind at the AICPA Employee Benefit Plans Accounting, Auditing and Regulatory Update in Washington, D.C.
